Sólveig Sif nominated for the Icelandic translation award for Á hjara veraldar

It is very pleasing to report that Sólveig Sif has been nominated for the Icelandic Translation Award for her excellent translation of the award-winning bestseller Á hjara veraldar, which tells the story of a group of boys from the island of Hjörtum in the Suður Islands, who were sent to a barren island to hunt seabirds and collect eggs and feathers in the summer, as was the tradition. Then they waited and no one came to pick them up. An amazing story that touches Icelandic chords!
