Fréttablaðið published yesterday, Monday, April 20, a book review about Georg and the Amazing Potion and The BFG, which Kver published in a renewed version earlier this year. Suffice it to say that Kolbrún Bergþórsdóttir gives both books five stars and speaks in particular about how well the translator has done his job. This really makes us happy at Kver, because a lot of care was put into this reissue. The translation is, of course, the same as in the original editions, which were published in 2015 and 2016. Emphasis was placed on the quality of the furnishings and both books have new covers. Georg's cover is somewhat similar to the one on the original edition, but BFG has a completely new cover, because in the original edition the cover had a look that was related to Steven Spielberg's and Disney's blockbuster about the Rock Giant.
The books have been unavailable for a while, but many had been asked about them. In the conclusion of the book review, Kolbrún writes: "It is a matter of great celebration to have these books back on the market. They will not only delight readers who are young in years, but also all the adults who have been lucky enough to preserve the child in themselves."
